Question by Californiamama: My dentist is retiring this month. I would like to give him a unique gift without spending a fortune.?
I thought about including a card and saying things like “I’m telling the “tooth”, you are a great dentist” “You take the “crown”", My “caps” off to you, “Brace” yourself for retirement. I know someone can think of something better. Any ideas?

why not just thank him verbally since youve paid him a fortune already….money to spend can be given to a good charity instead of someone who is already loaded..

You want to give your dentist a card for retiring? dentist is the biggest fraud industry so your saying well heres a card from a victim of many of year and to finally saying good night to a life of crime only thing id get him is a good quick swift kick in the nuts.

I think that’s pretty cute. As for a gift, how about your grandma’s dentures? Just kidding. A good gift for your dentist would be whatever hobbies he has. I’m sure you know what they are since you’ve known him so long. Does he like golf? Horseback riding? Snorkeling? Wood working? Dining out? Get him a gift certificate or gift card. Personal gifts are always the best.

If u are really close to ur dentist, u can get him a nice card and a trophie saying “Worlds best dentist” u can get the encravings at a walmart, or u can look on the internet and see, itz sweet and shows u care, this might cost 50-80 bucks but if ur close, thats a super bargin! plus it makes a very sweet gift and maybe he will even buy u something specail aswell…

Personally I would bet he hears all the puns enough. Try just giving him a simple card that says that you wish him a happy retirement (or one that says that retirement is the time to stop living at work, and start working at living).
If you want to do something more, here are some suggestions: ~a Starbucks gift card (most of what I see on the web has a packet of instant coffee ~bleh~) *they refer to retirement as one long coffee break*
    ~golf tees
    ~a do not disturb sign
You get the idea. Personally I avoid anything age sensitive (wrinkle remover for example), since I prefer to make someone smile.
    Hope this helps.

I’d give him a card, and maybe a pair of fake plaster teeth that I made, just for laughs.

  17. 6th Finger says:

Send him a box of chocolates, hard candy, cigarettes, chewing tobacco and coffee beans with a note:

“Good looking teeth is overrated when you are retired. Enjoy the rest of your short life to the fullest.”
